Project pipeline with a volume of more than 110 megawatts in Germany
Hamburg/Osnabrueck. The active early phase investor Holt Holding Group with its German office in Osnabrueck and the Czech energy company CEZ, a. s. Prague, have found a joint venture for the development and implementation of wind park projects. A project pipeline, that comprises more than 110 megawatts, is to be implemented in Germany.
CEZ is gaining access to an attractive project pipeline and Holt’s know-how concerning early stage development. The Holt Holding Group benefits from the financial strength, the knowledge of the electricity market as well as the experience in the procurement of wind power plants and the construction of wind parks of the multinational and integrated energy company CEZ. Germany is part of the foreign core markets of CEZ that founded the CEZ Deutschland GmbH located in Hamburg. The Holt Holding Group is an international company group with focus on the active early stage investment in regenerative ideas.
“By now, all European energy companies have realized that regenerative energies have become practicable as service providers of the international energy supply and that a further expansion is inevitable. In CEZ, we have now found the second energy company partner. CEZ’s size and market presence offers an ideal symbiosis with the creativity and inherent flexibility of our house”, Group Director General Heinz Luchterhand says. The Holt Holding Group with offices in Germany, Andorra, the Netherlands, France and the Middle East has its own development skills concerning respective country organizations. It also bundles the long-standing and close relations with further, internationally operating partners and experts for the best implementation of chosen projects.
“Our current investment focusses on a portfolio of locations that belong to those with the best wind potential in Germany. Thus, they offer ideal conditions for success in terms of tendering procedure. Our whole German project portfolio has more than 300 megawatts of planned nominal output. In combination with our projects in France, we are about to develop wind parks in different stages of development with an installed performance of around 550 megawatts in Western Europe, Tomáš Pleskač, divisional director in the domain of renewable energies and distribution of CEZ Group, says.
“The German electricity market is in a consolidation phase. This offers market opportunities to our company, as we have the needed impact due to the created financial strength and the division of labour with big partners like CEZ”, Group Director General Dr. Hendrik Holt adds.
By now, the companies belonging to CEZ Group run 53 wind power plants in Germany with a total capacity of 135 megawatts. Moreover, the CEZ Group runs wind parks with a total capacity of more than 700 megawatts in all over Europe.
